garage is an engineered solution to he desire for the convenience of the suburban
strip mall. The banal concrete buildings form a hollow density of semi-occupation.

the first physically occupied space outside the automobile. but it is a hidden
gateway, discretely placed out of the dominant view. the parking garage occupies
the misplaced space in between the city and the suburb. as a building type
