along the edges of the great salt lake in northern utah are a series of salt harvesting operations. These industrial landscapes direct salt brine through an elaborate systems of canals and into large ponds. From here, the water is evaporated, leaving salt along with other chemicals for harvesting by bulldozer. These photographs were taken at Reilly industries salt evaporation ponds in wendover, utah.
