In much of downtown tokyo a new building typology has developed in reaction to the combined economic forces of high real estate prices, limited available land, and small lot divisions. These miniature high rises cover the small lots and reach up vertically to the maximize the building envelope and to increase the development of the availlable land. This series documents these unique vertical proportioned buildings.
